Not Carrying Iqama Violations?

This is an easy mistake but it can cause a huge amount of money. So if you don’t keep your Iqama with you, you can be charged SAR 1,000. The violation can also cause further issues of spending time in jail in case of failure to show any proof within the time frame. There are further penalties of 2,000 for the second time and 3,000 for the third time.

Lost or Stolen Iqama

If the person doesn’t report the lost or stolen Iqama within 24 hours. There is a penalty of SAR 1,000. But there are no charges or penalties to report before or within 24 hours. Similar to not carrying Iqama, the fines can increase SAR 2,000 and 3,000 on repeating the same mistake.

Iqama Renewal After Expiry or not before 3 days

There is no excuse for not renewing your Iqama or Saudi Identification card. Due to this reason, the fine of SAR 500 is implemented for the renewal of iqama after expiry. The penalty increases SAR 1,000 next year if the mistake is repeated. However, the mistake repeated for third-time cause deportation from the Kingdom.

The Organizations or sponsor pays the double fee in case the iqama is not renewed before 3 days. The normal fee is around SAR 650 but it can cause almost 1,300 in case of delay. Jawazat also set strict rules on illegal workers and fines around SAR 25,000 for sponsors and organizations.

An Expired Iqama Companion

An illegal person in your vehicle is also considered a crime. If your companion’s iqama is expired and you get caught with them. You will be fined SAR 10,000 in case they were unable to show legal identification. Jail time of 6 months and deportation can also be implemented in some cases where the case is strong against you.

Entering Government office without Iqama

Don’t forget that you need Iqama if you are visiting any government office. In case you don’t show your iqama and get caught. There is a penalty of SAR 1,000 for the first time, SAR 2,000 for the second time and SAR 3,000 following on. You will also be asked questions in case they doubt that you don’t have proper identification.

Obtaining fake Iqama Violations

Fake Iqama Violations are considered a very serious crime in Saudi Arabia. But it can also cause you SAR 10,000 and jail time. So this type of violation must be avoided at all times. Authorities will also deport you in case they found proof that the Iqama is Fake or illegally obtained.

  3. may i ask for what will happen of a person has her iqama with her and it shows expiry october 2021 but in absher it was expired already since october 2019 and her employer already issued exit visa but expired as well last november 2019 now she is still here in the kingdom coz she had filed a case against her employer and she is having her 1st gearing by february 2020
    the question is
    shes allowed to go out anytime and iqama with her?
    allowed to show only the case number she have from labor court?
    she allowed to stay with her family inside the kingdom?
