Impressive increase in visitors and spending during 2023

In a remarkable economic milestone, Saudi Arabia has witnessed a historic surge in spending by visitors, marking a significant achievement as the third quarter of 2023 comes to a close. The Kingdom has recorded an unprecedented spending volume surpassing 100 billion riyals, showcasing its growing appeal as a top destination. This remarkable figure translates to an impressive surplus of 37.8 billion riyals, reflecting a remarkable growth rate of 72% when compared to the surplus achieved during the corresponding period in 2022. The surge in visitor spending not only underscores the allure of Saudi Arabia as a key travel destination but also signals a positive trend in the country’s tourism and hospitality sectors. This robust economic performance is likely to have far-reaching implications for the Kingdom’s overall economic landscape, reinforcing its position as a thriving hub for tourism and commerce.
