Thunderstorms expected in these regions till Friday

The likelihood of thunderstorms expected in most regions of Saudi Arabia extends until the upcoming Friday, as indicated by weather reports.

Summary

In accordance with the weather forecasts for various parts of the Kingdom, the General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued a call to action for citizens and residents. They are urged to take all necessary precautions and strictly adhere to the instructions and warnings disseminated through various media channels.

During these thunderstorms, it is imperative for everyone to seek shelter in safe areas and avoid low-lying areas, swamps, valleys, and other locations prone to water accumulation, as emphasized by the Civil Defense. Additionally, it is strongly advised not to engage in swimming in hazardous conditions.

The Civil Defense has highlighted that regions such as Makkah, Asir, Jazan, and Al-Baha may experience moderate to heavy rainfall that could potentially lead to flooding, accompanied by hail and strong winds causing dust storms. In the Makkah region, specific areas such as Taif, Al Jumum, Bahrah, Al Qunfudhah, Al-Lith, Al-Kamil, Khulais, Maysaan, Adham, and Al-Ardhiyat are anticipated to receive rainfall.

Elsewhere, light to moderate rainfall, coupled with gusty downward winds that can stir up dust, is expected in the Riyadh region, including locations such as Wadi ad-Dawasir, As Sulayyil, Al Quwaiiyah, Afif, and Al Aflaj, as well as in Al Muwayh, Al Khurma, Ranyah, and Turbah in the Makkah region, along with the Madinah and Najran regions.
