Insurance for Pilgrims

The well-renowned insurance company Tawuniya signed an agreement with Hajj and Umrah Ministry. The agreement is to provide insurance for pilgrims visiting holy cities from the outside Kingdom. The Agreement took place as part of vision 2030 and providing quality services to pilgrims.

This also means that insurance is linked directly to a visa. Mohammed Salih Bentin said that there will be a hotline for pilgrims. The purpose of this hotline is to serve people from outside Saudi Arabia. The staff will be able to support pilgrims in multiple languages. We expect that staff will be able to speak Urdu, English, Hindi, Tagalog, and Arabic. However, nothing has been mentioned yet.

Each Insurance will cover an amount of SAR 100,000 which is equal to $26,665 per person. The insurance contract is awarded for four years. The contract and insurance cover will help reducing incidents and provide better health care services to pilgrims. Unfortunately, this also means that it may increase the visa costs
