Thomas Quinney said in a statement in Geneva that the Pfizer and Biontec vaccines, as well as Moderna, in addition to the AstraZeneca vaccine, showed promising results in large clinical trials, indicating that they still need to obtain government approval to start distribution, according to Reuters.

He pointed out that there are so far 3 vaccines, expecting that the coming period will witness similar developments from companies such as “Johnson & Johnson”, “Sanofi”, “Merck” and “Novavax” and others.

He indicated that pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies have invested heavily in research and development and in promoting manufacturing during the epidemic to be able to introduce vaccine doses. (Source: Akhbaar)
