Waqar Naseem Wamiq, Riyadh. Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan received at Riyadh Airport by the Chairman of the Saudi Majlis-e-Shura.
On the invitation of His Excellency Abdullah Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Saudi Majlis-e-Shura, Mr. Asad Qaiser, Speaker of the National Assembly on Pakistan arrived in Riyadh on 22 January 2019.
In a special gesture, the Chairman of the Saudi Majlis-e-Shura greeted the Speaker as he landed at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. His Excellency Abdullah Al-Sheikh thanked the Speaker for accepting his invitation. He warmly welcomed his delegation. The two dignitaries reaffirmed close and fraternal ties between the two countries. These reflected by the exchange of frequent and high-level visits.
During the visit, the Speaker is scheduled to call on His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul Aziz. The Chairman of the Saudi Majlis-e-Shura will receive the Speaker and his delegation for detailed talks. He will also host a luncheon in honor of the visiting delegation. The two sides are also expected to sign an MoU on parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
His Excellency Abdullah Al-Sheikh recently undertook a three-day successful visit to Pakistan on 4-6 December 2019. During the visit, he invited the Speaker to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia along with a parliamentary delegation.
In addition, the Speaker and his delegation will also perform Umra and Ziarat in Makkah and Medina.
