Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) Workshop

Zunaira Zulnoon, Al Khobar – The First-ever Seerat-un-Nabi workshop was inaugurated as a tribute to our beloved Prophet (PBUH) and his rightly guided companions and paying a small tribute to the great Poet of the East Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

By keeping in view of the theme, a great number of participants joined us representing well-known educational institutions in the Dammam- Khobar region. Each participant gave their own representation of the books which were in one way or another related to our Prophet (PBUH) and his Companions.

The gathering was held as a follow up of their new reading initiative which hopes to promote the culture of reading books among the youth. The theme of this second session was Hope, Courage, and Dream.

The event organized under the leadership of Mr. Ahsan Mehmood Malik, President Read Pakistan. Followed by his team members, Mrs. Numera Mohsin ( Vice President), Mrs. Javeria Asad ( Event Secretary), Ms. Zunaira Zulnoon ( Joint Secretary) and Mr. Asad Ali Hassan ( Finance Head). As per the schedule, two books discussed which followed the theme of the sitting.

  • Firstly, For Adults Raheeq Ul Makhtoom chosen as it elaborates the lifeline of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) – written by Saif ur Rehman Mubarakpuri.
  • Secondly, For Kids The Shinning Star- Author Abdul Basit.
  • Thirdly, The biography of Umar Ibn Abdul Azeez- by Luqman Nagy.

Hosts of the Evening

The program hosted by Ms. Zunaira Zulnoon and Mrs. Javeria Asad which started with a beautiful recitation of Surah Ale Imran (verses 31-34) performed by our Junior Read Ambassador Faiz Ali Hassan. Along with A beautiful Naat performed by Muhammad Abdullah Mudassa. This later followed by an introduction to Read Pakistan by Mr. Ahsan Mehmood in which he emphasized the need for literacy skills for our youth. He encouraged the attendees to adopt the habit of book reading in their lives as it does not help them encourage their children but also would help them unwind from stressful daily life events. He delivered the goal of building libraries in Pakistan for government schools under the banner of Read Pakistan.

In addition, A message from the Chair Person of Read Pakistan, Mr. Farrukh Dal played which he specially recorded for the event’s participants to acknowledge their participation in this cause and their dedication. He further elaborated on the participants which the status of Libraries in Pakistan and his future plans in regards to Literacy related activities in the coming year.

Following this video message, Mr. Rizwan Ahmed gave a brief review of Raheeq ul Maktoom and its significance. He emphasized on the beautiful life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) along with the background of Raheeq ul Makhtoom ( The sealed Nectar) and how this book excelled worldwide.

Followed by the Review of Mr. Rizwan Ahmed our Vice President Mrs. Numera Mohsin conducted her Seerat-un-Nabi Workshop which elaborated on the family background of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). She presented the audience with the entire timeline of the many important incidents which took place during the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Lastly, she concluded on the note that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is an individual who was gifted with endless aspects of leadership and kindness. That even the ones who never believed in Allah were forced to accept the nature of our beloved Prophet (SAW). Indeed he is the Seal of Prophets and without a doubt a role model for generations to come. After this session kids provided their book reviews.

  • Fourthly, Mr. Faiz Ali Hassan from Orbit International School reviewed on Abu Bakar Sideeq (RZ).

Later on, Mrs. Javeria Asad invited students of Pakistan International School Al Khobar who trained by Mr. Javed (Read Pakistan Event Co-ordinator) to perform a play “Shiqwa Jawab-e Shiqwa” as part to pay tribute to Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

Similarly, the play was exceptionally performed by the students. Abdullah bin Rashid, Syed Mohmmad Moosa, Moiz Shafiq, Mohammad Abdullah Mudassir, Mohammad Huzaifa Malik, Saad Abbas, Zameen Abbas, and Mohammad Farhan.

Above all, A quiz session conducted near the end of the sitting by MS Zunaira Zulnoon and Mrs. Javeria Asad. Finally, Participants called up on stage to award them with certificates of Participation. As mentioned in the agenda of the event Prophet SAW.
