Waqar Naseem Wamiq, Riyadh – Mr. Khalid Majid, the new Pakistani Consul General arrived Jeddah to assume charge of his assignment. The officers and staff of the consulate welcomed him at the consulate.
Address
In his address to the officers and staff, the Consul General Khalid Majid said that he feels blessed and honored. To be chosen to serve the Pakistani community in Jeddah.
He said that Saudi Arabia has the largest number of Pakistani community living outside Pakistan. And added, our foremost duty here is to serve them with due dignity and honor. Serving humanity is also teaching of Islam and we should serve the community with the same sentiment and passion.
Mr. Khalid Majid (خالد مجید)
He was born in Pakistan in 1969. He joined Pakistan’s Foreign Service in 1999. Earlier, he lent a decade of services in the country’s armed forces. Mr. Khalid Majid has served at Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry headquarters in various capacities. Including as a Section Officer from Jan 2000 – Jun 2004 and as Director from Aug 2008 – Apr 2010.
Mr. Majid undertook various diplomatic assignments in Pakistan Missions abroad including as a Third Secretary, Second Secretary and First Secretary at The Hague from August 2004-June 2008).
He served in his capacity as First Secretary / Counsellor at the Pakistan High Commission in London from Jan 2011 – Oct 2014. He became Counsellor, at Pakistan Embassy in Beijing from Jan 2015 – Feb 2017.

In conclusion, before coming to Jeddah as Pakistan’s incumbent Consul General, Mr. Khalid Majid was serving as the Director-General (Headquarters & Finance) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, since August 2017.
