This also means that plastic cards for identity will not be required as per the latest statement and these Digital cards will have more features which are mentioned here. The following advertisement has been published by Jawazat which mentions important points.
- An electronic copy of the Muqeem ID is available on the “Absher Individuals” application that facilitates the process of verifying the identity of its holders in the event that the original identity is not carried.
- It includes the variable QR code. This means it can be read by handheld devices like smartphones or other barcode enabled devices.
- Users can download a copy of their identification on their phone so the internet is not required.
