Saudi Arabia banned hunting lizards and imposed a hefty penalty of 3,000 Saudi Riyal. This is to make sure that the wildlife and animals are preserved and not hunted just for fun or food. Some people also eat these large lizards which are mostly found in desert areas.

The executive regulations for hunting wild animals impose a fine of 3 thousand riyals for hunting “lizards” (Source; Ajel News).
