First Youth Leadership Program

Javeria Asad, Al Khobar – Grand Finale of First Youth Leadership Program organized by Pakistani Community Toastmaster Club on Friday 8th November 2019 in Al Khobar. The program consisted of 8 weekly sessions with the intention to enhance communication skills and to build up confidence in young future leaders, from age 6 years to 16 years.

President of Club, DTM Umer Farooq Malik and Coordinator TM Kehkahsan Sherjil, skillfully arranged and managed the entire 2 months program. In each weekly session, the club mentors including Area Director TM Qudsia Nadeem Lali, DTM Umer Farooq Malik, DTM Muhammad Azhar Farooq, TM Waheed Aslam, TM Lehna Faraz, TM Faysal Choudry, TM Uzair Iqbal closely coached and guided their respective youth leaders and improved the communication skills with a touch of their experience. All mentors worked with full dedication to lifting the confidence of their potential youth leaders.

All the youth leaders well prepared and took an active part in the final contest with high spirit and enthusiasm. DTM Muhammad Azhar Farooq was the Master of the ceremony and engaged the audience with his unique style and introduced Chief Judges of the contest.

‘The journey of youth leaders was exceptional. There is a visible change from the first session till today’, said President Umer Farooq Malik in his welcoming address.

Final Ceremony

Firstly, the judges evaluated the Final contest based on table topic speeches and prepared speeches. Secondly, Youth leaders divided into two groups according to their ages. Thirdly, the winners of the contest from Group A with age 11 years to 16 Years were; Hamza Abrar, Hamza Ahsan, Ali Baseer Awan, and Sufyan Bin Salman. From Group B, 6 years to 10 years; Javeria Azhar, Hassan Ahsan, Mawra Sherjeel and Zarmeena Baseer Awan won the contest.

Towards the end of the program, all the winners were awarded, Winning Shields. The program concluded with a graduation ceremony, where all the youth leaders were graduation certificates.

Parents were delighted to witness the successful graduation of their kids and lauded the efforts of the Management team. Parents expressed their wish to see more of similar programs where their young kids transform to leaders. Through mentoring and training sessions from expert toastmasters.
