Saudi Green Initiative
HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the launch of the Saudi Green Initiative and the Middle East Green Initiative in the month of march to combat the climate change.
Highlights
- 10 billion trees to be planted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- 50 billion trees to be planted in the Middle East.
- 30%+ protected land, including marine and coastal ecosystems.
- 50% of the production of the electricity in the Kingdom from renewables by 2030.
- 130 million tons of carbon emission. to be eliminated.
