Makkah launches a project to translate the sermon of Arafat in 5 different languages. The Arafa/Arafat sermon is one of the most important parts of Hajj which a lot of Muslims will be able to see from home this year. People from outside Saudi Arabia are not allowed to perform Hajj but it doesn’t mean they can’t join the event. Yes, it will be not the same but the conditions of travel ban and coronavirus have limited the choice. Details below.

Makkah launches a project to translate the sermon of Arafat in 5 languages

The project launched by the presidency of Makkah will include the following five languages:

  • English
  • French
  • Indonesian
  • Urdu
  • and Persian

These translations of Arafat day will be available by different channels for people. This means they will be able to listen to sermon anywhere from the world. Also, it will help the Pilgrims which include 70% expatriates performing Hajj this year. The three announced channels are:

  • Application dedicated to smartphones.
  • The presidency website
  • Lighthouse of the Two Holy Mosques platform.
