The purpose of collecting voice recording from users is to improve speech recognition technology. Many companies were caught listening to Users with or without their consent. The new program by Facebook is called “Pronunciations”. The app will be eligible with the Portal, a device released by Facebook for video calling and a smart assistant. User will need to earn points in order to get money via Paypal. The minimum threshold for cash out will be 1,000 points which are equal to $5.
One set of the recording gets you 200 points which means you will need to record 5 recordings to earn $5. That doesn’t sound a lot but something is better than nothing. The program will be available to USA users initially but will be released to everyone as a phased approach.
