20 million narcotic tablets hidden inside a cargo of grapefruits and 8 suspects arrested by the General Directorate for Drug Control in Saudi Arabia. Great work by the drug control in the Kingdom where they stopped criminals. Full details below.

20 million narcotic tablets hidden inside a cargo of grapefruits and 8 suspects arrested

The official spokesperson of the General Directorate for Drug Control, Captain Muhammad bin Khalid Al-Najidi, stated that the proactive security follow-up of the activities of the criminal networks that smuggle narcotic substances into the Kingdom resulted – with the success of God – foiling an attempt to smuggle ( 20,190,500) amphetamine narcotic tablets, hidden inside a shipment of grapefruit, via Jeddah Islamic Port, in coordination with the General Authority of Customs.

The spokesperson for the General Directorate of Narcotics Control stated that the elements involved in this were arrested inside the Kingdom, and they are (8) accused, including (6) residents and two citizens.

Captain Muhammad Al-Najidi confirmed that the criminals have been arrested, legal measures were taken against them, and referred to the Public Prosecution Office, calling on everyone to call (995) to report people who have drug activity. (Source: SPA)
