The schools in the United Arab Emirates suspend extracurricular activities because of Coronavirus. There is no indication of how long this will continue but the Ministry of Education mentioned that this is part of precautionary measures to minimize risks of Coronavirus. More details below.

Schools suspend activities in UAE – Coronavirus

By Extracurricular activities, schools will cancel their field trips. The nurseries will be also closed to make sure the virus is contained and not spread. Schools are working with the Ministry of Education to safeguard the health of pupils and staff working at the schools. However, schools will still be open for regular classes and there is no news on closing schools.

So far, there have been 19 cases confirmed in the United Arab Emirates. Out of those 19, five people have already recovered. We hope there will not many cases in one of the neighbouring countries of Saudi Arabia. And people who travelled to the UAE frequently don’t get affected by COVID 19.
