Updates below:

  • Saudi Arabia called for Shawwal moon sightings for Eid Ul Fitr 2024 on April 8th 2024
  • Saudi Arabia will complete 30 days of Ramadan, tomorrow will be the last of Ramadan and Eid will be celebrated on 10th April 2024. “It was not possible to see the Shawwal crescent this evening…and Wednesday is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.” Read more here.
  • It was not possible to see the Shawwal crescent at the Sudair, Tamir, and Al Hariq observatories.. and awaiting the issuance of the Supreme Court’s decision.
  • Attention is now turning to the north and west of the Kingdom to investigate the sighting of the Shawwal crescent.
  • It was not possible to see the crescent of Shawwal…and tomorrow is the completion of the month of Ramadan and we are waiting for the official announcement.

  • North and West of the Kingdom to observe the Eid crescent with clear sky.

  • Astronomer Abdulaziz Al-Marmish prediction: Wednesday is the first day of Shawwal.
