Saudi airports are ready to triple travellers and welcome millions
Saudi Arabia plans to triple its current annual air traveler count to 330 million by 2030, according to Hussain Al Assaf, the General Manager of the Saudi General Authority for Civil Aviation’s Excellence and Development Department. The national aviation strategy involves expanding infrastructure, constructing new airports, enhancing existing ones, optimizing operational efficiency, and elevating overall traveler experiences. Additionally, the recently introduced ‘passenger without a bag’ service, set to launch in the first quarter of this year, aims to streamline travel procedures, reduce airport waiting times, and attract more tourists, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s broader goal of diversifying its economy by attracting 100 million tourists by 2030.
