Ramadan Sighting announced in Saudi Arabia 2024
Ramadan Sighting in Saudi Arabia observed in Sudair observatory ; 11th March 2024 Declared as First Day
With difficulty of moon sighting in many areas, Sudair observatory announced first sighting and marking the beginning of Ramadan, Saudi Arabia has reported no sightings. Consequently, the Kingdom has declared that the first day of Ramadan will be on the 11th of March 2024.
Several other countries including Australia, Brunei, Philippines, Afghanistan, Malaysia, and Singapore have announced that they too will commence Ramadan on the 12th of March 2024, not aligning with the decision made in Saudi Arabia.
