This new strain has been spreading internationally, with the first confirmed case outside Africa reported in Sweden on Thursday. Pakistan also announced a case of Monkeypox on Friday in a patient who had recently returned from a Gulf country, although the specific strain of the virus has not yet been identified.

Weqaya has urged the public to rely on official sources for information and to avoid spreading or believing in unverified rumors. The authority advises practicing healthy behaviors and refraining from travel to countries where Monkeypox outbreaks reported.
