- Foster + Partners – Role: Architecture and Engineering
- Responsibilities:
- Design the airport’s master plan, covering 57 square kilometers.
- Develop multiple terminals and six runways.
- Incorporate elements of Riyadh’s identity and Saudi culture into the design for a unique travel experience.
- Jacobs – Role: Consulting Services
- Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized consulting for the detailed master plan.
- Design the airport’s runways.
- Mace – Role: Planning and Construction
- Responsibilities:
- Implement international best practices.
- Apply innovative methodologies during planning and construction phases.
- Nera – Role: Aviation Technical Solutions
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee airspace design.
- Enhance air traffic efficiency using cutting-edge technologies.
Vision and Objectives:
- Leadership’s Commitment: Marco Mehia, the Acting CEO of King Salman International Airport Development Company, emphasized the dedication to building a world-class airport. This effort is aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to establish Riyadh as a global hub for transportation, trade, and tourism.
- Master Plan Unveiling: The airport’s master plan was revealed in November 2022 by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
