These partnerships are focused on advancing the development of King Salman International Airport, aiming to transform it into a key hub for tourism, travel, and transportation in Riyadh and the surrounding region.

  • Foster + PartnersRole: Architecture and Engineering
  • Responsibilities:
    • Design the airport’s master plan, covering 57 square kilometers.
    • Develop multiple terminals and six runways.
    • Incorporate elements of Riyadh’s identity and Saudi culture into the design for a unique travel experience.
  • JacobsRole: Consulting Services
  • Responsibilities:
    • Provide specialized consulting for the detailed master plan.
    • Design the airport’s runways.
  • MaceRole: Planning and Construction
  • Responsibilities:
    • Implement international best practices.
    • Apply innovative methodologies during planning and construction phases.
  • NeraRole: Aviation Technical Solutions
  • Responsibilities:
    • Oversee airspace design.
    • Enhance air traffic efficiency using cutting-edge technologies.

Vision and Objectives:

  • Leadership’s Commitment: Marco Mehia, the Acting CEO of King Salman International Airport Development Company, emphasized the dedication to building a world-class airport. This effort is aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to establish Riyadh as a global hub for transportation, trade, and tourism.
  • Master Plan Unveiling: The airport’s master plan was revealed in November 2022 by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The project is a significant step toward achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in making King Salman International Airport a premier travel destination.
