Recent Crackdown on Residency, Labor, and Border Violations in Saudi Arabia. 19989 violators arrested in 7 days and 11361 deported in a comprehensive joint field operation aimed at enforcing residency, labor, and border security laws across all regions of Saudi Arabia. This operation took place between 04/02/1446 AH and 10/02/1446 AH.

19989 violators arrested in 7 days and 11361 deported – Breakdown of Violations

The apprehended individuals were found violating various laws, categorized as follows:

  • Residency Violations: 12,608 individuals
  • Border Security Violations: 4,519 individuals
  • Labor Law Violations: 2,862 individuals

Illegal Entry and Exit Attempts

Among those apprehended:

  • Illegal Entry: 913 individuals were caught attempting to enter Saudi Arabia unlawfully. Of these, 32% were Yemeni nationals, 65% Ethiopian nationals, and 3% from other nationalities.
  • Illegal Exit: 34 individuals were arrested for attempting to leave the Kingdom without proper authorization.

Facilitators of Illegal Activities

Authorities also detained 9 individuals involved in facilitating the illegal transportation, employment, and concealment of those violating residency, labor, and border security laws.

Ongoing Legal Procedures

Currently, 15,803 expatriates who violated these regulations are undergoing legal procedures:

  • Gender Distribution: 14,491 men and 1,312 women
  • Diplomatic and Deportation Actions:
  • 5,028 violators referred to their respective diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents.
  • 2,955 violators are in the process of making travel reservations.
  • 11,361 individuals already deported.

This operation highlights Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to enforcing its residency, labor, and border security laws strictly.
