Shoura Council Riyadh asked for a study to review the dependent fees for the fiscal year of 2020. This can be a sign of hope for expatriates if the council decides to keep the fees same as 2019. The council has advised to carry out an in-depth study. This study will include all the aspects of the expatriate levy. The decision can save SAR 100 per month for each dependent paying expatriate levy. In total, this can save SAR 1,200 per year for an expatriate.
The dependent fee is calculated on a monthly basis and collected on a yearly basis. The fee is payable for dependent children, spouses, housemaids, parents or any domestic workers. The domestic workers or dependents are only counted if they are a foreign national.
The fee is paid to Jawazat directly which is issuing office for renewal or new visas. The fee is applicable at the time applying a new dependent visa or renewal of existing visa.
How to Calculate Dependent Fee?
1 year Visa Renewal cost will be: 300 x 12 = SAR 3600 for one dependent per year
