Vaccine requirement for workers in Makkah and Madinah. On Friday, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing announced the vaccination requirement for workers in Hajj and Umrah activities, and for shops in the cities of Makkah and Madinah.

The ministry said that the decision will take effect from the first of next Ramadan, in order to preserve public health.

She indicated that the decision includes immunizing all service providers for pilgrims and Umrah performers, shop workers, and service providers in the two cities, either by taking the anti-Corona vaccine, or by conducting a weekly examination of workers at the facility’s expense.

It is noteworthy that the activities declared obligatory to immunize their workers or to conduct a weekly PCR examination, include, in addition to the aforementioned activities, restaurants and food stores, men’s hair salons, women’s beauty salons, gyms and sports centers, and all workers in various public transport means. And workers in tourist accommodation facilities.
