The Saudi Cabinet

The Saudi cabinet has allowed foreigners to conduct business related to media and printing. In this regard, the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (Sajia) has directed to issue a license.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (WAS), a Saudi cabinet meeting was held in Qassar-ul-Islam, Jeddah, under the chairmanship of Khalid Herman Sharifin Shah Salman bin Abdul Aziz, in which the proposal approved by the Ministry of Commerce and the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority.

According to the details, the cabinet has allowed foreigners to do business in 19 areas related to media and printing.  Foreigners who meet the regulations may provide pre-printed services in addition to printed materials.  Can set up libraries, writing, painting, photography, short films, documentaries, journalistic content for various TV channels, cinema, theater, studio services, distribution, social media-related content, media advice, and the field.  Other related businesses can.

The cabinet also allowed foreign media to open bureau offices in the state and appoint representatives here.

The Cabinet has clarified that foreigners working in the media and printing sectors must meet the requirements of the Investment Authority.

It is to note that the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (Sajia) will soon announce detailed regulations in this regard.
