Saudi Ministry of Interior Executes Drug Smuggler in Al-Jawf; The Ministry of Interior has announced the execution of Adnan Hussein Al-Sulaiman, a Syrian national, in the Al-Jawf region for smuggling amphetamine pills into Saudi Arabia. Following his arrest by security authorities and subsequent investigation, Al-Sulaiman was charged and convicted of the crime. The death sentence, imposed as a discretionary punishment, was upheld by the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. A royal order authorized its enforcement in accordance with Sharia law. The execution was carried out on Monday, July 22, 2024.
