Saudi Arabia banned live shows in restaurants and cafes for three days as per the latest update by the General Entertainment Authority and several other channels. Recently GEA also announced licence issuing for these type of performances in the hospitality sector. More details below.
Saudi Arabia banned live shows in Restaurants and cafes for three days
The latest directives have cautioned the restaurant, cafe, and hospitality owners to avoid any live performances during the three day period from Thursday 31st December 2020 till 2nd January 2021, Saturday.
This is a temporary ban as part of the precautionary measures and preventive protocols. These restrictions are necessary to keep the contact low and keep the coronavirus cases low. The live performances include concerts, stand-up comedy, or any inside performance for the audience. License holders will need to re-apply after the temporary ban period via the online portal.
