Alif International School Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Waqar Naseem Wamiq, Riyadh: Alif International School Riyadh celebrated its 10 years of excellence as an international school in the Kingdom with much pomp and show, ‘Alif @ 10 Eventia’ by name, at Riyadh Nesto Aziziya auditorium.

His Excellency Azmi Tassim, the Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Kingdom inaugurated the Grand Finale of a month-long series of events and programs that implied the social commitment of an educational institution. His Excellency ambassador appreciated the students and teachers of the school for their humanitarian activities that are given much importance in the school curriculum.

He remembered the visit of students and teachers of Alif to Sri Lankan embassy with their love and solidarity at the time of recent bomb blasts in Sri Lanka that shattered hundreds of lives.

Events & Programs

The Alif @ 10 Eventia celebrated with 10 different events and programs. Firstly, The program “Teens Media Talk” that was led and inaugurated by Siraj Wahab, the renowned Managing Editor of Arab News.

Secondly, “Beget the Future Leaders” event that the school organized as part of the 10th anniversary. This program attended by as many as 40 eminent social and community leaders. This triggered a passion for social work among the students of Alif. Thirdly, Mothers Meet, Public Quiz Competition, Alumni Meet also organized in the school in connection with the anniversary. Lastly, staff members who completed 10 years of service in the school honored in a grand finale by H. E. Ambassador.

In addition, Free Educational Scholarship to 10 deserving children is the high light of all the anniversary events. The consent for this given to the School Principal Muhammed Musthafa by Ali Kunji Moulavi (Chairman, Alif Group of Schools), Luqman Pazhur (Executive Director, Alif Group of Schools) and Nassar Haji (Director).

The Charity

The Charity money collected by the students handed over to the famous social worker Shihab Kottukad by the Sri Lankan ambassador. The money will be given to the Institute of Palliative Medicine – an organization run in India under the WHO. Prize distribution for the winners of the Islamic Quiz Competition and Public Quiz also done. All teachers and staff members of the school honored in the program.

Similarly, Alif Global School at Markaz Knowledge City, Kerala introduced to the public in the event. It offers an international standard of learning atmosphere under the CBSE and IGCSE curriculum. In short, Alif @10 Eventia was a successful grand finale of Alif International School. It was a mass gathering with the presence of Mohammed Al Qahtani, Niyas Ahmed, Mohammed Ahmed, Zeeshan Qazi, Waqar Naseem Wamiq, Shamnad Karunagappally, Ubaid Edavanna, Dr. Mukundan, Ms. Shamsheera, TP Abdul Kareem, Mujeeb Rahman Kaladi, Abdushukoor Madakkara, Qazi Ishaq Memon and Mohammed Rafeeq Malayil.

Above all, the methodological organization of colorful cultural events by students under the hosting of Mr. Shameer was really appreciative.

To sum up, Alif @ 10 Eventia coordinated under the status of Dr. Daisamma Jacob (Vice Principal), Mohammed Mohammed Noushad (Head Master) Ms. Hameeda Banu (Head Mistress) and Mr. Ali Bhukhari (Administrative Officer).
