Firstly, people are confusing on 4 days vacations part. Let us clear, 4 days are Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday. In other words, the given vacations of four days include the weekend. The news went viral on the internet as we published also.
Government Sector & Private Sector
- Government Sector: The announcement is for the government sector only. Clearing the doubts that Sunday is the only day comes in between weekend and the 89th Saudi National Day which automatically goes to an off day.
- Private Sector: Many expats and Saudi individuals working in the private sector complains that they don’t have off day even on the National Day. Clearing the doubts that there are some news in which it’s clear that if the company forcing you to work on the National Day which is Public Holiday in Saudi Arabia. Then you can work on 50% above wages.
In conclusion, it doesn’t work like this. For a private sector like food & beverages, automobile, shopping malls & entertainment companies, National Day is the season to make a profit. Some companies give vacations but others need to focus on their business as well.
