PIA announces it’s travel advisory for passengers travelling to Saudi Arabia

Passengers travelling for Umrah and/or on Tourists visas from Pakistan’s PIA will not be able to travel to Saudi Arabia with immediate effect.

Pakistan International Airline PIA has stated in its tweet below.

PIA – passengers travelling to Saudi Arabia

“Dear Passenger,
We would like to inform you that as directed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, passengers travelling for Umrah and/or on Tourists visas from Pakistan will not be able to travel to Saudi Arabia with immediate effect.

However, Pakistan International Airlines will continue its flights as usual until the Umrah pilgrims have into Pakistan”.

The tweet has also mentioned, “Travelers can only travel to Saudi Arabia if they have permission and permanent residence. All Pakistan International Airline flights to Saudi Arabia will be operating normally as per schedule to service all other passengers. PIA will fully implement the instructions given by the Saudi government.

Important Notice on Travel Restrictions from PIA to Saudi Arabia

Remember that the Saudi government has announced a temporary restriction on those coming to Mecca or Medina for Umrah from around the world as a protective measure against coronavirus.
