Pakistani community Gavel Club
Javeria Asad, Alkhobar – Pakistani community Toastmasters Club Alkhobar arranged an event in a local restaurant on 25th January. The purpose of the event was to inaugurate its first-ever Gavel club for Pakistani youth living in Dammam and Alkhobar.
In the welcoming speech of Pakistani community Toastmasters Club president, DTM Omer Farooq said that after the successful conduction of the youth leadership program and on immense demand by parents we decided to launch the first gavel club for Pakistani youth. This club will support the youth to become leaders of tomorrow by enhancing their communication and leadership skills.
DTM Omer Farooq announced the name of the club named as “Green Ambassadors Gavel club” with the suggestions of the mentors and the Cavaliers. Coordinator Kehkashan Sharjeel enrolled the names of all the attendees for the club. Later DTM Omer Farooq announced the names of the executive committee members which are:
- Ibrahim Umer as President,
- Hamza Ihsan as VP education,
- Javeria Azhar as VP membership
- Faiz Ali Hassan as VP of Public Relations
- Musab Ahmed khan as Secretary
- Aleeba Dilshad as Treasurer
- Ali Baseer and Gv Abu Bakar Sharjeel as Sargent@arm
This excom will finish its term by the end of 6th June. In every meeting, the excom will plan the agenda of the meeting with the help of their mentors. Every meeting will be scheduled on the second and fourth Saturday of every month.
All gaveliers took part enthusiastically in the event and confirmed their participation on a regular basis. In the end tasty refreshments were served and the agenda of the next meeting was announced which will be conducted on 8th February. All the parents applauded the efforts and thanked the Toastmasters for their support.
