New Mohammad Bin Salman Stadium set to amaze the world

Situated in the dynamic Qiddiya City, this multi-use venue promises to be a hub for the region’s most significant sports, entertainment, and cultural events. Its groundbreaking design and innovative technological features aim to redefine the traditional stadium experience, placing spectators at the heart of the spectacle.

Crafted by the renowned architectural firm Populous, the Prince Mohammad bin Salman Stadium is set to become the world’s first fully integrated venue, boasting a retractable roof, pitch, and LED wall seamlessly transitioning between different “event modes” in mere minutes.

Qiddiya, a sponsor of Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, highlights the LED wall as a portal to live broadcasts, HD films, and laser shows, promising a novel and immersive experience for guests. The venue’s versatility allows for a myriad of events in a single day, from football and boxing to esports, concerts, and theater performances. Visitors will have access to live data, state-of-the-art holographic technology enabling virtual interactions with celebrities, and stars.

Perched atop the breathtaking 200m-high Tuwaiq Cliff, a mere 40 minutes from Riyadh, the stadium is in direct proximity to 50,000 square meters of shopping, dining, entertainment spaces, and hotels.

Anticipated to house 45,000 spectators, the Prince Mohammad bin Salman Stadium is earmarked as one of the proposed venues for the 2034 World Cup, should the bid be successful. Additionally, it is poised to host events like the Saudi King Cup, the Asian Cup, and the 2034 Asian Games, potentially welcoming 7.6 million visitors annually through its doors. The stadium stands as a testament to Saudi Arabia’s commitment to innovation and global sports excellence.
