The Ministry of Labor and Social Development approved a set of amendments in the system for receiving domestic workers coming to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
New Domestic Workers receiving process announced for employers
With the aim of facilitating the process of receiving them in the exit and return system to make it easier for citizens, as the reception of domestic workers at the airport will be completely under the responsibility of the employer. The previous mechanism imposed a certain progression in the reception process, whereby the worker and the employer went through several stages, represented by issuing an exit and return visa for the worker through the Absher system, then booking the arrival flight, then passing the worker through the arrival hall passports, then collectively delegating them to the workers ’reception unit.
Domestic workers at the airport, until the reception procedures, are completed by the employer and thus receive the worker. As for the new mechanism, it will be limited to issuing an exit and return visa for the worker through the Absher system, then booking the arrival flight, then receiving the worker directly from the international terminals without an intermediary and by the employer.
