New Absher service for birth and death certificate launched: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), represented by the National Information Center, and Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Yahya, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Civil Status, have introduced new electronic services for Civil Affairs through the Absher platform at the Ministry of Interior’s employees club in Riyadh.

New Absher service for birth and death certificate launched

These newly launched services allow male and female Saudi citizens, as well as resident expatriates, to access digital birth certificates, issue and view death certificates, and verify digital birth and death certificates.

The digital birth certificate display service in Absher enables beneficiaries to view their family members’ digital birth certificates and print them. Similarly, the death certificate issue service allows Saudi citizens and resident expats to electronically record the deaths of their loved ones, parents, or sponsored employees when informed by the hospital.

Beneficiaries can also view digital death certificates through the death certificate viewing service and authorize printing for immediate relatives, parents, or sponsored employees.

The launch event occurred at the Ministry of Interior’s staff club in Riyadh, with Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif and other top officials from the ministry, National Information Center, and Civil Affairs Department in attendance.

To ensure the authenticity of birth and death certificates, beneficiaries can use the digital birth certificate and death certificate verification program, accessible through their user accounts on the Absher platform. This allows them to review the policies and specifications of these new services.
