Nepal planned to observe the Year 2020 as “Visit Nepal“
Report by Waqar Naseem Wamiq, Riyadh. Embassy of Nepal in Riyadh has organized an interaction program with some journalists and media persons representing various Saudi media outlets at the Embassy of Nepal.
Welcoming the guests, Ambassador of Nepal to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H. E. Prof. Dr. Mahendra Prasad Singh Rajput briefly highlighted some salient features of relations between Nepal and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He also highlighted the importance of the role of media to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Presenting Nepal as one of the most preferred holiday destinations for foreigners. The ambassador informed the media representatives about the decision of the Government of Nepal to observe the year 2020 as Visit Nepal Year. H. E. the ambassador requested the media persons to help promote Visit Nepal Year 2020.
Firstly, the media persons actively participated in the interaction program. Secondly, the media personalities were interested in Nepal’s natural landscapes, cultural heritages, floras and faunas, mountains and other areas of Saudi interests. Lastly, H. E. the Ambassador and Embassy officials responded to their queries.
In addition, the representatives expressed their full commitment to support the Embassy and the Government of Nepal in their endeavor to promote Visit Nepal Year 2020 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Finally, varieties of packets of Nepali tea and tourism promotional materials were presented to the guests as souvenirs.
Above all, 15 Editors, Reporters, Journalists, TV anchors and Representatives from reputed Saudi press and media news channels were present in the program.
