Ministry of Health on rescheduled dates of Coronavirus Vaccine
The continuation of rescheduling the doses of the Coronavirus vaccine due to the manufacturer’s delay in supplying to the Kingdom. Health Ministry confirmed that taking the second dose, according to the approved medical and scientific references, can be six weeks after the first dose.
The Ministry attributed this to reasons beyond its control due to the continued delay in the supply to the Kingdom and countries of the world by the company that manufactured the vaccine. MOH clarified that the vaccine-making company committed itself to supply, starting from the middle of the next calendar month after the company stopped exporting vaccines to all countries that deal with it due to the expansion of production lines.
Ministry added that it will continue to implement the national campaign to vaccinate with the Coronavirus vaccine and expand the launch of more Coronavirus vaccine centers to include all regions of the Kingdom with the availability of the vaccine during the coming period, and that is continuing its efforts to maintain the health and safety of citizens and residents and limit the spread of the Coronavirus.
