Quick and Decisive Response
Along with the reforms it implemented before the covid crisis, Saudi Arabia’s quick and decisive response to the pandemic helped soften the impact on people & firms. Economic recovery is underway and is expected to continue.
IMF in a report also mentioned that the Kingdom should withdraw its remaining covid-related economic policy measures gradually to support the ongoing recovery.
The IMF recommends spending more in 2021 on transfers to low-income households to boost their incomes and consumption.
