Jawazat Recommends Expats in Saudi Arabia to Enroll Family Members’ Fingerprints: The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has directed resident expatriates to ensure that the fingerprints of their family members aged 6 and above are recorded in the Jawazat system. The Passports Directorate emphasizes that this fingerprint recording is a fundamental requirement for accessing Jawazat services.

It’s crucial to highlight that the strategic objectives of the General Directorate of Passports encompass enhancing security, fostering human resources growth, and improving relationships with beneficiaries.

Earlier this year, the General Directorate of Passports announced that residents could renew their IDs through the Absher Business platform. Additionally, guidance was provided on changing ID or iqama photos in case of significant errors or updates. The Passport Department emphasized that if there is a substantial change in appearance, the photo on the iqama or ID must be updated. Appointments need to be scheduled, and the Passport Department should be contacted for assistance, ensuring that the identity remains valid.
