Groundbreaking Event for Gamers: Gamers, mark your calendars for an unprecedented event. Saudi Arabia is preparing to host one of the largest gaming events globally, the Esports World Cup. Scheduled to run from 3 July to 25 August 2024, this event promises eight weeks of non-stop gaming excitement.

Venue and Activities: The Esports World Cup 2024 will take place in Boulevard City, Riyadh. Thousands of gamers from around the world will compete in this championship. Beyond the competitive gaming, attendees can enjoy various gaming activations and pop culture events, making it a comprehensive entertainment experience.
Games and Prizes: A total of 19 games will be featured in the Esports World Cup 2024, culminating in an awards ceremony on 24 August. The winning team will take home a grand prize of over SAR 225,000,000 ($60,000,000), the largest prize pool in esports history. Tickets for five of these games are now available, starting as low as SAR 12.
Historic Announcement: HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made this significant announcement during The New Global Sports Conference in Riyadh. The event was attended by prominent figures from the sports, gaming, and esports industries, including international sports icon Cristiano Ronaldo. This move underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to becoming a global hub for gaming and esports.
Strategic Importance: The Esports World Cup aligns with Saudi Arabia’s National Gaming and Esports Strategy, aimed at enhancing the gaming sector’s contribution to the Kingdom’s GDP. The initiative is expected to create approximately 39,000 new jobs, supporting economic diversification in line with Vision 2030. Additionally, this annual event is set to attract gaming enthusiasts worldwide, boosting tourism in the Kingdom.
