He explained during his meeting with the “In the Public” program on the Saudi channel, that the use of technology in education showed many options for decision-makers, which calls for thinking about how to use this technology in the development of education itself.
He indicated that e-learning has been in place for more than 30 years in the world, and that many Saudi universities rely on e-learning, noting that the adoption of more than 7 million students on e-learning during the pandemic period contributed to the involvement of parents and teachers in the educational process. Al-Walidi stated that distance education serves some groups, especially those between the ages of 25 to 45 years, noting that this category is difficult for them to leave work and go to university to learn.
