Sana Bashir, Al Khobar – Pakistan International School Al Khobar (PISK) conducted a Condolence Meeting on the Sad Demise of the Founder of PISK Mr. Abbas Hussain Malik on July 6th, 2020.

The faculty and employees of the School held a condolence meeting to offer “Fatiha” and Prayer for the forgiveness for the late founder of the School, Mr. Abbas Hussain Malik in School Hall on July 6, 2020. Mr. Akhter Hussain Malik, the son of late Abbas Hussain Malik, and Mr. Abdul Rehman, the Chairman Board of Directors, also attended the meeting and paid richly deserved tribute to the extraordinary services of late Mr. Abbas Hussain Malik for the Pakistani Community, particularly in the field of education, in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Both of them talked about different aspects of the towering personality of Mr. Abbas Hussain Malik, his role as a community leader, his success as a prominent businessman, and his contributions to charitable causes.

Mr. Abdul Rehman stated that the services of Mr. Abbas Hussain Malik spanning for more than 60 Years can never be forgotten by Pakistani Community and His name shall be on the top of the list whenever the history of Pakistani Diaspora in the Eastern Province of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would be written. He announced that Pakistan International School Al- Khobar shall constitute a Gold Name named after the Late Mr. Abbas Hussain Malik on the Best Essay on the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the winner shall be awarded a Gold Medal named after Malik Abbas Hussain. He also stressed the importance of documenting Mr. Malik’s valuable contributions in the School’s Annual Magazine to introduce new generations about the visionary personality.

Mr. Muhammad Ajmal Jamil, the Principal of School, said that Mr. Abbas Hussain Malik had a passion for education. He established educational institutions not only in Al Khobar and Al Hasa in Saudi Arabia but also in his home town Sialkot in Pakistan.

It was felt with sorrow that a general condolence meeting befitting the stature of Mr. Abbas Hussain Malik couldn’t be held due to Standard Operating Procedures of the Saudi Government and social distancing necessitated by Covid-19.
