Waqar Naseem Wamiq, Riyadh – The Embassy of The Republic of Bulgaria in Riyadh marked the Bulgarian national day at their premises with great fervor.

Mayor of Riyadh Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf Al-Miqrin graced the occasion as the chief guest. He was warmly received upon his arrival by the Bulgarian Ambassador Dimitar Abadjiev, Chief Counselor Vladimir Dorovski, and other high-ranking diplomats.

The national day reception was highly attended by the Ambassadors of various countries, Saudi officials, the diplomatic community, business peoples, Saudi citizens, and the Bulgarian community.

The proceedings of the reception begin with the national anthems of both of the countries followed by the formal speech by the Bulgarian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dimitar Abadjiev.

In his speech, The Bulgarian envoy announced his completion of tenure and spoke about the development of bilateral relations between the two countries since he took over his office in 2019 as the first Bulgarian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, “it is an honor for me to serve as the first-ever Bulgarian Ambassador in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The close partnership of Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia is strengthened and I am sure that our two countries deepen our steadfast and extensive relations”, he concluded.

The national day reception followed by an Art Exhibition of Bulgarian Painters Juliana Pavlova & Nikolay Panayotov. The reception continued with the piano performance by maestro Ivan Yanakov that was truly enjoyed by the guests.
