On Monday, the Saudi Minister of Religious Affairs, Call and Guidance Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh confirmed that the failure of some worshipers to adhere to health precautions resulted in the infection of the Coronavirus in some mosques.

He wrote in a tweet published on the official channel, “the lack of commitment by some to the protocols and health precautions resulted in the infection of Coronavirus in some mosques, which led to the closure of 71 precautionary mosques in various regions of the Kingdom and work is being done to sterilize them.”
