The latest update by Gaca mentions that 28 professions in air transport will be localized. The plan is to complete this initiative within 3 years as part of the Kingdom’s vision 2030. Here is the list of professions.
28 professions to be localized by Saudi Air Transport authority – GACA
The professions include pilot, flight attendant, air traffic controller, supervisor, flight yard coordinator, ground handling services, handling of cargo, luggage, and passengers, flight catering, and other professions related to the air transport sector.
GACA has directed all the departments working with the professions above to start this change. The departments will be monitored by management and any action required will be taken by departments. GACA has also mentioned that this initiative is taken in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
