HRH Prince Faisal Graced the 209th Independence Day of Mexico

Waqar Naseem Wamiq, Riyadh – H.R.H Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Riyadh Region. Attended the ceremony at the Residence of Mexico on the occasion of the 209th Anniversary of the Independence of Mexico.

Upon his arrival, received by Chargé d´Affaires Eduardo Hector Moguel Flores. After the speech, H.R.H Prince Faisal and the Chargé d´Affaires cut the cake as it is tradition in the Kingdom. Later on, Saudi officials, members of the diplomatic corps and the Mexican community celebrated. In an elegant but colourful Mexican-style “Fiesta”.

Finally, guests had the opportunity to see a live performance of the band “Mariachi Semblanza”. H.R.H Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, delighted by the authentic Mexican food prepared by renowned chef Aldo Servín. Executive Chef at “Traspatio Restaurant” in Los Cabos, Mexico.

The Mexico Festivals Around the City

September has come again with a new iteration of the Mexican Gastronomic Festival at Intercontinental Hotel. This time, led by renowned chef Aldo Servin, Executive Chef at “Traspatio Restaurant” in Los Cabos, Mexico.

For the second time in a row, the Embassy of Mexico and the Intercontiental Riyadh have partnered to bring along the Mariachi band “Mariachi Semblanza” to perform live and entertain those who attend the food festival.

Mexican Cuisine and Mariachi music attained the UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage of humainity’s status.
